HOFFMAN ESTATES , IL (October 28, 2003) - Red Eye Studio announced today that it has completed principal motion capture for the next installment in the best-selling Leisure Suit Larry™ franchise, Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude. The new title, developed by High Voltage Software, is scheduled for release through Vivendi Universal games on next-generation consoles and the PC in late 2004.

The Leisure Suit Larry videogame franchise began in 1987 with The Land of the Lounge Lizards, the first of seven games in the series. Since then, the Leisure Suit Larry games have sold millions of units worldwide and its games are considered collector items.

Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude tells the coming of age story about Larry Lovage, nephew of Larry Laffer, the series’ original lovable loser. In Magna Cum Laude, Lovage starts as a pathetic loser enrolled at Community College who spends most of his time on campus striking out with women. Over the course of the game, Larry sets out on an epic search for love (or its equivalent) and finds that things don’t always go as planned.

Red Eye Studio provided all motion capture for the game. "Red Eye Studio’s expert staff captured more than 1,000 animations for Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude,” said Josh VanVeld, Producer, High Voltage Software, Inc. “Their excellent casting skills and superior capture services saved us hundreds of production man-hours. The end result is incredible animation that really draws the player into our game.”

"After months of working on this project, Red Eye’s team has captured more uncensored, off the wall, and completely hilarious pop-culture comedy then has ever been seen in a videogame before,” said Chris Olsen, Executive Director of Red Eye Studio. “This game is definitely going to turn a lot of heads upon its release next fall.”
